One day, I picked Quentin up at a preschool that they had at the high school and since I was taking him back to Pam's, I also picked up another kid that attended the same preschool (Ethan).
We got in the car and I got them all strapped in and we took off. Ethan said something to Quentin, but he called him "twentin". Quentin asked me why he called him that. I explained that he was saying Quentin, but that it was hard for Ethan to say so he was saying it the best he could. Quentin acted a little insulted, but said "ok".
The next thing I heard, they were chatting about something and Quentin ended up telling Etan something then he said "Right, Efan?"

I Love Your Face
I was telling Connor good night last night and he said "I love to look at your face"
I said "Thanks. I love to look at your face, too."
He said "I really do. I smells like your house and reminds me of your house"

Like Your House
The boys were almost ready for bed and we were going to lay down on the floor and read a couple of books. I sat down and started to lay on my stomach and got close to Connor as he was doing the same thing. He said "Oh, you smell good"
I said "Thanks" He said "You smell like your house"
(I asked him if that was a good thing and he said it is)

Like My Own Sons
We were at the park the other day and Connor was helping Zeke get up the ladder to go down the slide. I told him what a great big brother he is and he said "I know"
He started talking about how much work it is to take care of Quentin and Zeke but he doesn't mind doing it because they are so cute. He said "It's like they are my own sons"

Lucky Day
The boys were here last night and Geoff was talking to Quentin. Quentin told Geoff that he got to sleep in because he was staying with me in the morning. Geoff said he was lucky (because he got to sleep in).
Quentin said "Every day I spend with Gramma Coley is a lucky day!"

It's Just Not a Game Until...
Brandon, Geoff and I took the boys to a Tin Caps (minor league) baseball game on Friday night for Connor's birthday. Brandon got the tickets for free and they were very good seats. We sat in a section where a waitress would take our order and bring food to us. When we first sat down, the waitress put a menu down in front of us.
Connor picked up the menu and asked me to read it to him. I said he should try to read it. He started to read it then handed it to me and asked if I could read it to him. So, I read the menu to him. The last item in the first section was "salad"
He quickly said "I'll have a salad!" I asked him several times before the waitress came back if that's what he really wanted and he never wavered. So when the waitress came back, he ordered a salad.
The waitress asked what kind of dressing he wanted and he said "Olive Garden dressing". I told him they didn't have Olive Garden dressing so he settled for ranch dressing.
I guess it's just not a game until you've had your salad!

Oh, The Pain
It was such a nice day out on Monday, the boys were all playing outside. We were outside with them and Quentin was climbing up the playset to go down the slide. All of a sudden, he started SCREAMING!.
Something hurt his hand. We looked and did not see a splinter and also did not see any wood sticking up. We decided he must have gotten stung. Poppy went inside to get ice and after Daddy comforted him a while, I took him in to clean it up. While I was cleaning it and checking for a stinger or a splinter, Brandon came in with the other two boys.
There was no stinger or splinter but it was swollen around a little hole in his hand. I went in to get something to put on it after washing it. I handed the tube to Brandon.
Quentin (4 1/2 yrs old) said "Wait!" I thought, like any other 4 year old, he would say "is that going to sting?" But he didn't.
Instead, he asked "Is that an antibiotic ointment?"
Brandon said yes and Quentin then said "ok...it won't sting then." and held his hand out to get the ointment on it.
